How to remove the arrow from the desktop shortcuts.

Solution
|
Click on start-run type "regedit" hit enter
In the registry click on edit-find "lnkfile" press f3 until you come across the lnkfile with a type "is shortcut". delete the key.
Again click on edit-find "piffile" press f3 until you come across the piffile with a type "is shortcut". delete the key.
Restart the machine & you will find the arrows disappear from the shortcuts.
