Solutions:problem 1: During Installation an error message indicating no keyboard connected
solution: 1.check the keyboard cable and see whether it is completely into the PC connector
2.Try another compatible keyboard
3.check the wiring between PC keyboard connector and motherboard Problem2:During installation an error message Indicating that the keyboard lock is ON
solution:1.Make sure that the keyboard is unlocked. if not unlock it
2.If the switch is unlocked position and the system detects unlocked check the working of switch
3.If the switch is working the problem may be with the motherboard
problem 3:The keyboard is completely dead -No keys appear to function
Solution: 1.Try with a alternate keyboard if it works the problem is probably on the keyboard interface chip. It is better to replace the keyboard rather than the chip
2.If the alternate keyboard fails,using multimeter check for +5V supply at the keyboard connector. If this is missing,female keyboard connector may be broken
3.heck the keyboard connector pico-fuse problem 4:One or More keys are struck or repeating
Solution: 1.Foreign object like staps, paperclip etc may fall between keys and may land across PC board connect or remove the keyboard housing assembly and remove all the dust and foreign object carefully
2.If it is not possible to clear to jammed key,replace the entire keyboard assembly .
problem 5: KBC error or a similar message displayed during system boot up
Solution: This is due to either data signals are missing or keyboard clock missing. it is better to replace the motherboard.
problem 6: The keyboard keys may be programmed with macros and it has to clear by the following the steps
