Right performance tool can be identified using Pu Matrix.
If the application to be tested is functionally stable then go for Non-functional testing in the System testing phase.
Performance testing includes testing Speed, Scalability and Stability.
Speed – Testing the response time.
Scalability – User load might increase in the next financial year, can our system be able to withstand the load.
Stability – System meets the SLA or not under high user load.
If the requirements are clear create the Pu Matrix
Parameters form the Row of Pu Matrix and Expectations form the Column of Pu Matrix. Also create Proof of concept for the performance testing tool
(ie, take some transaction and try to emulate it).
